Neighborhood Environment Watch Foundation (NEW) was established in 2005 to address issues of environmental pollution. Its thematic focus is on environment (Climate change, land degradation), health (water and sanitation). It has a 7 member Board of Directors with the Executive Director being in charge of the daily administration of the organization. He is supported by three other staff and two ad-hoc staff. NEW have 56 volunteer members who help in the achievement of the aims and objective of the organization. NEW is a member of Clean Up The World, Australia; 350 org and is the South East Coordinator of the Green Alliance Nigeria and a member of the Climate Change Network. NEW is currently implementing a GEF/SGP programme on climate change.
