SOUTH ASIAN FORUM FOR ENVIRONMENT (SAFE)

SAFE is in consultative status with ECOSOC and is a major stakeholder to UNEP receiving the UNEP Eco Peace Leadership Award 2010. It is accredited by the Ministry of Planning Govt of India and is in the advisory council to the Planning Commission of India. It is also in the Core competency group of National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development of India and partners with Ministry of Environment in national Environmental awareness campaign. It has been accredited by IAIA (US) British ecological Society (UK) and Society for Conservation Biology and Society for Restoration Ecology International (US). It has the credit of succesfully installing and completing the first BIORIGHTS project in India that has been showcased in 4th TEEB report of UNEP.
